In my three years of stay at the academy there were two qualities which I inherited without even coming to know. One was the art of Leadership and the second and most important one was the art of management. Mind you all this comes free of cost at NDA, so it doesn't pinch you like IIM, IIPM or for that matter any II.... Institute.
I learnt what 'interest' means when i was deprived of evening snacks, tea and coffee for my first three terms. And you know how did I learn that; it was in the last three terms especially the 'Sixth' one in which I got everything back with 'interest'.
I learnt what is 'Investment' when i kept feeding my seniors with Tiger Biscuit, Maggi, Rasna, Egg Rolls, Donuts and what not for the same three terms and was never paid a single penny. But again I got everything back with interest in my last two terms.
I learnt what is being self sufficient when I became a fourth termer and was left alone in all administrative aspects.
All in all it was The National Defence Academy which shaped me into a "Management guru" for a lifetime!
